THE FOUNDER
Mr. Michael Gonzalez brings extensive culinary expertise with sales and marketing background and has successfully established numerous F&B brands and companies, including Chipori Restaurant, World Coffee Philippines, MelonCo, and BigZ Burger. He accomplished this remarkable growth with just his final 6,000 pesos, choosing to invest in marketing instead of spending his last money on his son's milk.
Our story
BigZ Burger was first introduced as part of the menu at Chipori Restaurant in Marikina City in 2020. Seeing its strong potential, founder Mr. Michael Gonzalez decided to spin it off into an independent brand and business. In 2021, the first "The BigZ Burger House" branch opened in Masinag, Antipolo City, marking the brand’s official launch. A year later, in 2022, the company rebranded and adopted the official trademark, BIGZ BURGER. This evolution reinforced its brand identity and set the stage for further expansion in the industry.
We are the first in the Philippines to offer a buy-one-take-one crispy chicken sandwich. Our menu combines affordability with premium quality, ensuring great value for our customers. We take pride in our diverse selection, crafted with top-quality ingredients and unique recipes. With our innovative approach, we cater to different market segments in the burger industry.
BigZ Burger is expanding its franchise nationwide, now partnering with Francorp Philippines to strengthen its growth strategy. Known for its best-selling Buy1 Take1 Crispy Chicken Burger and quality beef burgers, it offers both value and premium taste through kiosk and counter formats. With over 100 outlets in Luzon, BigZ Burger continues to grow and bring its signature flavor closer to more communities.
In the 2026 MPBL Season 8, the Marikina Shoemasters – BigZ Burger was officially formed, ushering in a new era of pride for the city. Built with a strong mix of PBA veterans and talented homegrown players, the team carries one mission—to proudly represent Marikina on the national stage. Every game reflects their unity, determination, and hometown pride, proving that with heart and teamwork, Marikina can compete with the best in the league.
